A-Coord Input: Augmented Pen-Based Interactions by Combining Auxiliary Input Channels

 

 

The human hand can naturally coordinate multiple finger joints. For this reason, digital pens are now embedded with auxiliary input sensors to capture these actions. Prior research on auxiliary input channels has mainly investigated them in isolation of one another.

In this project, we explore whether users can control multiple digital pen input channels simultaneously, (e.g., press and roll a pen) beyond their abilities to do so with highly familiar and well-practiced tasks, such as writing and drawing.
